Sometimes You Should Retreat Before Pressing On

Before modern military tactics were developed, it was common for the General to move to an elevated position to observe the battle. Typically, soldiers fighting face-to-face with their enemy were so focused on survival that they lacked perspective on whether they were winning or losing until the battle was over. The General’s view, however, prompted adjustments to increase the likelihood of victory.

The Treehouse Project

The archetypal American youngster dirtied his hands playing in the creek, hit homers in the park, and played fetch with his bandana-clad golden retriever. This young man was loved and mentored by his Dad, and the relationship was peppered with frequent father-son outings and projects like ball games, fishing trips, and treehouses.

Every day is a family affair at Financial Strategies Group in Weston, Florida

CFP® Kim DeProspero opened her own practice in 2003 but has been serving South Florida communities since 1986. Prior to his passing from Alzheimer’s in 2011, Kim worked side-by-side with her father, Bob DeProspero, whose 40-year career in the Financial Service Industry was well-regarded locally. In 2011, Kim and her husband, Hank Cleare, merged their practices under Financial Strategies Group, and now Kim’s oldest son, Nick, is the most recent addition to a long line of family financial planners.

Imagine this: you’re sick and your long-time Primary Care Physician says based on test results, you have an aggressive cancer and your prognosis isn't good.

Be Like An Iceberg And Rise Above The Surface To Success

Recently, I have taken the time to learn about icebergs, and now know more than I ever imagined I could about massive chunks of ice. Let me state the obvious; the Titanic. It sunk. Full steam ahead! With only 10% visible, (even I can do this math) 90% of the iceberg was hidden below the water.

Snowflakes and Advisors: No Two Are Exactly Alike

A snowflake’s a snowflake, right? Wrong.

Put those tiny, frosted water crystals under a microscope and you’ll discover that no two are exactly alike. Each snowflake has its own unique pattern, size and shape.

Just like snowflakes, our advisors at Integrated Financial Group are unique. This is the essence of our Brain Trust: the individual knowledge and experience each advisor member contributes to the group. Together we may look similar, but separately we’re different.

It's our favorite time of the year! We held our 12th annual Toys For Tots drive from November 23rd through December 9th, and collected 190 toys. This year we offered to match every toy donated, so our grand total was 380! WOW! We're so honored to be a part of this amazing outreach at the Holidays. Joining us for the annual Holiday Luncheon to celebrate on December 10th were Marines Captain Hartwig and Sargent Smith. Big thanks to our Office Mom, Executive Assistant Bonnie Whyte, for organizing everything. Our Assistants cooked the food and everything was, to quote Managing Director Don Patrick, "Awesome!"
