Shane is very active in the community. He served as chairman for the Northeast Georgia Community Foundation Investment Committee and chaired the Endowment Committee for Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Previously, he served as Gainesville Jaycees board chairman and is a former president; was a board member for the Humane Society; and served on the Membership Committee of the Chattahoochee Country Club. Shane lives in Gainesville with his wife, Emily, their daughter, Clare, and son, Emmett, and is a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
